Frustrated by an
enlarged prostate (BPH)?

Learn about ProVee - a simple, outpatient procedure for BPH
currently available through the ProVIDE Study.

Millions of men struggle with urinary symptoms caused by an enlarged prostate, or BPH (benign prostatic hyperplasia). Nearly half of all men in their 50s and over 70% of men in their 60s have BPH.1 As the prostate enlarges, it can cause a range of symptoms such as:

  • Frequent urination during the day and at night
  • A weak or interrupted urinary stream
  • Difficulty or delay in starting urination
  • A sudden urgency to urinate
  • A feeling that you cannot empty your bladder completely

While there are surgical treatments and medications available for BPH, they do not work for everyone, and can also cause unwanted side effects, including sexual dysfunction and urinary incontinence.

If you’re living with symptoms of an enlarged prostate and are interested in exploring treatment options other than drugs or major surgery, you may qualify for the ProVIDE Clinical Study. The study is for the ProVee Urethral Expander System, an investigational device designed to relieve BPH symptoms through a simple outpatient procedure.

About ProVee for BPH

The prostate is about the size of a walnut, and is located at the neck of the bladder. For most men, starting around age 40 their prostate begins to grow, and if it becomes large enough, the enlarged prostate can put pressure on the urethra, the tube that carries urine out of the body. This pressure blocks the natural flow of urine, causing uncomfortable symptoms and irritation.

The ProVee Urethral Expander System is an investigational device designed to relieve the symptoms of BPH through a simple outpatient procedure. ProVee is a self-expanding implant that, once positioned, gently re-shapes and opens the narrowed urethra to improve urinary flow. The ProVee procedure does not involve any incisions meaning patients can go home the same day.

What is the ProVIDE Study?

ProVee is currently being offered at select sites in the US, Canada, and Ireland through the ProVIDE Clinical Trial. If you qualify and choose to join the study, you will receive the ProVee procedure and all study study-related care at no cost. Following the procedure, your study doctor will continue to see you over a 5-year period to check on how you are doing and to discuss your experiences. You may be compensated for your time and travel to attend these visits.
